Competition is fun,
but can also be intense,
so keeping it in perspective
and balancing family needs
while still achieving those goals
is the ultimate outcome.

While at the University of Virginia Phoebe had the privilege of working with the world renowned Sports Psychologist,
Dr. Robert Rotella.
Robert Rotella has worked as a personal consultant for the NBA, NFL, Major League Baseball, NASCAR, PGA Tour, Senior Tour, US Olympic Ski Team, as well as the New York Yankees, San Francisco 49ers, New Jersey Nets and Texas Rangers. Bob Rotella also appears regularly on NBC's High Performance Golf, the Golf Channel, and is a frequent guest on Larry King Live.

Dr.Rotella taught Phoebe how to remain focused under intense pressure to perform at her best. She has been able to teach those that she coaches these same basic principles.Few coaches have had the training or experience as a competitor and coach as Phoebe which is why she, her horses and her riders so often end up in the winners circle.

Above is Katie Monahan Prudent who has been one of the most influential trainers Phoebe has worked with. Katie Monahan Prudent earned the AGA Rider of the Year title three times and won team gold at the World Show Jumping Championship. She also rode in the alternate Olympic Games and finished second in the FEI World Cup Finals. The U.S. Equestrian Team honored Prudent with the Whitney Stone Cup for her distinguished record in international competition coupled with serving as an outstanding ambassador for the USET. Katie won both the ASPCA Maclay Finals and the USEF Medal Finals. She and her husband Henri Prudent and their son Adam split their time between Nancy, France, and Middleburg, Virginia.
